Ayurveda is a very ancient medicine of India. Entire Ayurvedic science is based on the three dosha ( energy ) in our body caused due to imbalance of energy in our body. Massages restore the balance of these four important entities in our body.
Vat comes from air and earth.
Pitt comes from fire and water
Kaph comes from earth and water
Vat patients should be treated with abhyanga regularly, pit patients treated every alternate day and kaph patients should be treated every fourth day.
abhyanga is a Sanskrit term for “ massaging your body”.Massages increase the speed of your blood flow and nourish the worn-out cells, which in turn gives them a new life.
Massages can:-
Detoxify your body
Rejuvenate the energy within
Help in weight loss
Improves immunity
The main reason you see an increment in your weight is due to the unwanted waste that your system stores. If your body gets rid of this waste regularly, the road of your weight loss journey could go as smooth as butter (note the irony ).
Collecting dirt in your house and storing it makes your home seem crowded and unhealthy, doesn’t it ?. Then why do the same thing with your body? We are so used to collecting this dirt that we tend to forget to help our bodies in the cleaning process. Abhyanga cleanses your body not only physically but also mentally.
Sometimes, solutions to our problems are much more simpler than we assume. All these big changes that we crave for can be brought in our lifestyle via these simple methods ,but nowadays lifestyle is such that we go through many pains and medications before actually realizing the problem on the first hand.
Patients are asked to lie down on the soft and comfortable massage table.
Malis with medicated oil is done according to the nature of the patient. ( vat, kaph, pit ).
The massage starts with the head, then the face and slowly the whole body gets massaged.
The session continues for one and a half hours and is repeated as per the prescription of the therapists.
At the end of the session, a steam bath is given.
